Retreat . Reboot

finally the trip is over and i am going back to work tomorrow!

my take-back from this trip:
1. my left shoulder is always in pain, nothing helps except the acupuncture. it goes away after my 1st sunbathing morning at Ko Samui. i didn't do anything but lying beside the pool. i guess the shoulder pain is caused by work stress.
2. i drank less during this trip than i am in hk. i didn't know why but just that i didn't feel i needed that much of alcohol that's all. i believe this is also related to the stress as well.
3. bought a book named "the decision book", it gives a shortlist of strategic thinking models. believe we have learned most of them in the past. but it's a good reminder-- the Eishenhower Matrix. it looks like i tend to focus too much on the urgency (ie. my work) but forgetting the importance (ie. my family).

i was so looking forward to this trip cause i so needed a retreat. in the past few months, i felt i was losing my balance: how to do a good job without losing myself? how to be a good mom without all the preaching? i was confused and exhausted..................
so this trip is kind of like a reboot to myself, to clear my mind and figure out what to do.

my final conclusion: EVERYONE NEEDS A VACATION!!!

cheers~~~~~

(remark: picture was taken at a bar in Ko Samui, Karma Sutra is the name of the bar)
